Your iPhone has a call log where you can view every call that has been made or received on the device. This is a convenient location to call someone back if you don’t already have a contact for them.
However, there might be a call in your call history that you don’t want someone else to see. Our tutorial below will show you how to remove individual calls from your history on an iPhone 5.
Delete a Call from the Call Log on an iPhone 5
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 5, in iOS 9.3. These steps will show you how to remove a single call from your iPhone’s Recents menu. While we will be focusing specifically on deleting an outgoing call, these same steps will work for any single call that is listed on this screen.
Step 1: Open the Phone app.
Step 2: Select the Recents option at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Tap the Edit button at the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 4: Tap the red circle to the left of the call that you wish to delete.
Step 5: Tap the red Delete button to the right of the call. You can then tap the Done button at the top-right corner of the screen to exit the Edit mode.
Note the Clear button at the top-left corner of the screen when you are in edit mode. If you tap that button, it will delete every call from this list.
