Your iPhone has a number of wireless signals that it can receive and send when it is operating correctly. Unfortunately many of these signals are not permitted on many aircraft, so you will need to turn off the device or put it into airplane mode.
Luckily it is easy to turn on airplane mode on an iPhone 7. Our guide will show you a simple method for doing so that doesn’t even require you to open the Settings menu.
How to Put Your iPhone Into Airplane Mode
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus in iOS 10.3.1. Once you have put your iPhone into airplane mode you will be unable to access the Internet, either through a Wi-Fi network or through your cellular network. This means that many games will not work, nor will you be able to receive or send emails or text messages.
Step 1: Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen.
Step 2: Tap the airplane icon at the top-left corner of the menu.
Once you have gotten off the airplane, or completed whatever task required you to put your iPhone into airplane mode, you can return to this same place to turn airplane mode back off and start using your iPhone again as normal.
